The most pronounced negative influence of dehydration has been noted in the direction of solving problems that require attention, decision-making, motor co-ordination and so-called executive function.
American scientists have used data collected by 413 athletes who lost 2% of their body weight because of dehydration. The effects of dehydration were more pronounced in high temperatures.
