DUI leader Ali Ahmeti has spoken of presidential elections in northern Macedonia, stressing that he laid out the hand of co-operation to the Albanian opposition for a common Albanian candidate, but unfortunately, the two opposition parties refused.
During a live interview for RTK, on the occasion of its 11th anniversary of independence, Ahmeti said there will be a meeting with coalition partners tomorrow.
“Now, I extended my hand, but Albanian political parties came out with highly offensive attitudes and extended hand declined, so I am sorry about that. Monday will be meeting with coalition partners. We stand by our principle for head of state with an agreement between the parties that have legitimacy, that is, Albanian and Macedonian. It is willing to reach an agreement, but this will largely depend among the parties meeting on Monday,” said Ahmeti. /Periscopi/
