Agim Bahtiri calls ignoble rejection of Mitrovica union petition

The ministry in question through a decision has rejected the demand of citizens of the municipality of southern Mitrovica for union with the northern one, reports news.net.

He has called the Ministry of Administration and Local Power's decision to reject that requirement shamefully and shamefully.

He has indicated he has not addressed the ministry's request and petition, but the Kosovo Assembly, while his next step will be to hand over the demand and petition to Kosovo President Hashim Thaci.

Bahtiri has also indicated that no one can move with cards for Mitrovica.

Asked whether his next step to realising his idea rests on the country's president, he has indicated yes, because it is legitimate.

“Of course, but because it's legitimate, it's the demand of citizens and the demand of citizens can completely change the constitution, not the law. And what he has done is shame. We won't be stopped by anyone in our right, point”, Bahtiri said at the end.

This initiative by South Mitrovica Chairman Agim Bahtiri, along with a petition signed by about 17 thousand citizens, was about changing and completing the Law on Administration Borders of the Communists.

MAPL through this decision has asked the Assembly of Kosovo to reject legislative initiative since it does not contain the conditions and criteria set out with the Law for Legislative Initiative.
