The agreement will bring to an end all indictments by actors and former employees of popular filmmakers, who have accused him from sexual harassment to rape.
The pay will make the security of the former Weinstein Co film company, while 67-year-old is not obliged to accept the blame or pay anything.
More than 70 women have been charged with sexual abuse, while he has dismissed the accusations, saying everything has been done with mutual reconciliation.
However, the indictment for rape of two women (one in 2006 and the other in 2013) could condemn Weinstein to life in prison if convicted at all points of prosecution. The trial is scheduled for January 6, 2020.
