Some 100 families once lived there, but this village has a small church and school no more than 100 students.
Today, churches and schools have been immersed in water as they are surrounded by wooden houses that stand on planks hanging on water.
“Sitio Preethan” is sinking into water, and the main reason for this is climate change. But even though all objects are underwater, residents have vowed that they will not for a moment abandon their homeland.
It can be seen how residents walk through the water that reaches the level of their knees and often move on small boats.
