The head of this association, Nesrete Kumnova, said their frustration is towards Kosovo institutions and international mechanisms, which, according to her, failed to send ahead of the dawn of the fate of their most loved ones.
Kumnova said there have been two decades of anxiety and expectations with broken hopes and unfulfilled promises for the return of the bodies of their families home.
“The Mothers' Calls in Gjakova on the occasion of closing this calendar year suggests to all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that we are extremely disappointed with the work of Kosovo institutions and international mechanisms that we are leaving behind this year, to forward the process of whitewashing our missing daughters and children. Given that we have spent two decades in anxiety and expectation, with broken hopes and unfulfilled promises by all competents, we are closing the year 2019 with no results in the biggest problem that remained unresolved and that we are concerned about, whiteening the fate of our loved ones and returning their troops to their homeland”, she said.
Regardless of the circumstances, Kumnova said how the association this year has organised different activities and has repeatedly demanded that they be direct participants in all state processes, whether in talks or in the argument of facts.
For the next year, she said that they have organised prayers of the fallen in certain dates, received various delegations that have visited them and shared their troubles and sorrows.
“Brenda 2019 we've organised the images of missing persons and put them in the Mourral Complex on the Chabrat Hill, and in the surrounding areas of the Republic of Kosovo, we've put together press conferences, we've updated the movement communiques that took place outside Kosovo, we've organized psychosocial meetings with the many unconventional sites, and in the surroundings of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, we've organized press conferences, we've distributed the responses that took place outside of Kosovo, and we've organized psychosocial meetings with the many of the many national arrangements that come with the dates, the <ohk>
As the main activity of this year's association, Kumnova mentioned the table with the theme: “Two decades of anxiety and expectation ) dawning the luck of the undiscovered, hostage to Kosovo-Serbia” talks, in which representatives from government and nongovernmental and family institutions participated.
During the election campaign, she said they have appealed by sending the message of missing mothers and family members that resolving the issue of missing persons should be a priority among the priorities of the future government of the Republic of Kosovo.
She has mentioned the deputy visit of US Secretary of State Matthew Palmer along with the U.S. Vice Ambassador to Kosovo Nick Giocobbe, and in another case, Ambassador Philip Costnets, who have pledged to work closely with this association in order to whiteen the fate of the found, to compensate for the damages of war and criminals to be brought to justice.
In the end, Kumnova said their expectations and groanings would cease only when the question of whitewashing the dead will be closed with positive results and will return from Serbia all the bodies of their daughters and sons.
