Nobel Prize for Literature 2019 has frustrated much of the world. The reason for such a thing is author Peter Handke's name, which is known for his controversial attitudes regarding the Serb genocide in Bosnia and in general the regime of Slobodan Milosevic.
Nobel for Literature has also been sharply criticised in the past for a variety of reasons. One of the harshest criticisms was that the Committee that divided the prize was too “euro-centerial”. More Swedes have won the Nobel Prize than all Asia combined.
Also, at its beginnings, the Swedish Academy had falsely ignored two major world writers such as Leon Tolsto and Anton Chehov. No one took Nobel, while it was blamed on by the Russian-phobias who had obtained Swedes during the end of the century. 5 / 15
In 2008, Horace Engdahl, former Permanent Secretary of the Academy, had been able to state in a controversial way:
“Europe is still the center of the literary world. The world is too isolated, too islandy. They do not translate enough and do not really participate in big literature dialogues. ”
The following are all cases when this academy was criticized for the chosen winners:
2016 ) Bob Dylan
In 2016 the Nobel Prize for Literature was given to a writer and an interesting musician named Bob Dylan. Many literary critics, writers, novelists, commentators had objected to this, saying it made the prize something very depreciated.

I'm Bob Dylan's own fan, but the award is about a distorted imagination twisted by broken old men's prostates, from the gibberish hippies.” The Scottish novelist Irrine Welch had said.
2010 írio Vargas Llosa
Lalosa caused many reactions after receiving the award because of his right political stances. Vargas Llosa was called “controversis” because I focused more on politics than on literature.
2009 ) Herta Mueller
The 2009 prize sparked much criticism in the American literary world because many professors and critics had not heard Herta Muller's name before. They said the committee continued to be too “eurocentrik”.
2006 Orhan Pamuk
In 2006, Ali Ahmad Said, known as Adunis, suffered as the man who could win the Nobel Prize. But, in fact, Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk won it. Turkey believed the decision to grant Nobel to Pamuk was politically motivated.
1970
Solzhenitsyn received the 1970 Nobel Prize for Literature. In fact, he had earlier refused because the awards ceremony should be private and not public. Yet, he had accepted it four years later. Critics have said he received the prize, not because of literary values, but because of political attitudes.

We recall that the prize was also received by Serbian writer Ivo Andric, who won the prize in 1961. He was said to have fascist attitudes. /Periscope
