With the use of money reduced in Sweden, Rixbank launched a project in spring 2017 to examine the goal of creating the central bank's digital currency
The plan envisions that the new electronic currency ensures that the public continues to have access to government funds.
The bank said it was ready to join the pilot project for a year. It is believed that it will succeed in developing a technical platform with an interface that allows e-scripts to be paid through cards, mobile phones and other portable equipment.
Partnership will begin until 31 December 2020, but could last seven years if Rixbank decides to move ahead with the plan and piloting new functions.
