How can you sleep again after you wake up in the middle of the night because of anxiety?

You wake up, but it's still night out there. 4:26. Ugh! Turn left-right, close your eyes, open them, close them again and just don't fall asleep. There's nothing worse. You may have spent several times, even up to two more hours sleepless, hoping, wanting to get some sleep, but [...]
You wake up, but it's still night out there. 4:26. Ugh! Turn left-right, close your eyes, open them, close them again and just don't fall asleep. There's nothing worse. You may have spent several times, even up to two more hours sleepless, hoping, wanting to get some sleep, but to no avail.
Turn on the TV. Bad idea. It's easy, you can't understand why you can't sleep again. Did it happen to you? Of course, it is universal, so the following is some advice on the situation.
How can you fall asleep early at night?
Get out of bed. It may sound like an intuition, but if you get up, you go to the next room and try to sleep again in 20 minutes. Look around, sit in bed, read a magazine, everything! Focus on everything else around your home rather than on your lack of sleep, and you will gradually begin to feel sleepy again.
Read. With dim lights, try reading. Sometimes you may fall asleep in the middle of the day if you are lying down and reading. Take something you've read before (it does not mean reading a trumpet novel in the middle of the night), and look through the page. Even your eyes will slowly close.
Check the lighting. Make sure there's not much light in the room. Turn off the lights coming out of the hallway and give you full shadow, blocking the light out. Another stimulating light can keep you awake, so make sure the light is dark enough, so it will be easier to sleep.
Calm down. If you've never meditated or done yoga, this is the time to prove it. Try some techniques by taking a deep breath, and relax your mind. If you focus on breathing and quiet, you are less likely to focus on the fear that you are not sleeping.
Don't watch the clock. This is an uncategoric thing, even though you may have done it a few times. By turning on the light to see the clock not only increases the frustration you are unable to sleep, but the light will stimulate your eye. That's also for TV, phone, iPad.
