Russia has suffered severe condemnation from World Anti-Doping Agency [ WAA] being banned from participating in any sports event for four years, meaning they will not be part of the 2020 Olympic Games and the World Cup in football 2022.
Wada has taken this action against the world's sports superpower because of evidence against Russian authorities that through a laboratory had manipulated the data of hundreds of potential doping cases, writes Independent, translates Periscopi.
Russian athletes, however, will be able to participate in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo if they can prove that they were not affected by the doping scandal, but under a neutral flag and without intoning Russian national anthem.
However, the national football team will not be allowed to participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in what version. /Periscope
