While most journalists around the world are more or less the same as each other, there is another particular one against the current, the Periscope broadcasts.
Hafiz Marikar, from Sri Lanka, has surprised everyone with the votes he has given to the players. For three years he has given votes to those not seen as top contenders.
So in 2017, the five players selected by Marikar were Leonardo Bonucci, David De Gea, Radamel Falcao, Eden Hazard, and Harry Kane. And last year he chose Edem Hazard, Firminho, Paul Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane.
He could not miss another year with his separate votes, while choosing: Arnold, Aubamyang, Griesmann, Leandowski and Ter Stein.
