Facing the blockade in forming the Government of Kosovo, as a result of disagreements between the Vetevendosje and LDK for the post of president, Robert Bosch as the first proposal has cited former president Fatmir Sejdiu, who resigned from office in September 2010 following the Constitutional Court's decision, which states he had made a violation of the Constitution by holding the post of the Democratic League of Kosovo chairman.
“Fatmir Sejdiu should be a good compromise for the presidential post. He is experienced, independent and is no longer official of any specific party”, he said.
Bosch has also proposed publicist Veton Surroi, as well as the former Kosovo ambassador to the Netherlands, Vjosa Dobrun.
Two more fully independent people also came to mind as excellent candidates: Veton Surroi and Vjosa Dobruna, both with local and international experience. They would do very well to image the country”, the former ambassador said.
Bosch has expressed confidence that there are more suitable candidates, but, as he has said, behind the news on a daily basis, I couldn't resist to get a little involved.
Although current Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's mandate ends in 2021, the issue is now open as coalition partners cannot sign the agreement precisely because of the president's APUles.
