My Lord Dode George wishes the Christmass: More Love and Understanding

Kosovo Archbishop Dode Gjergji, on the occasion of the Christmas holiday, has conveyed the best wishes for Kosovo's believers and people.

He wished that this Christmas holiday would become a source of hope, life, and love for everyone, and he allowed everyone more peace, love, understanding, and reconciliation.

My Lord George also spoke of political explorers who he said are failing to co-operate in behalf of people and the country, and in cases unfortunately, let alone find the way to lasting peace and reconciliation.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Friends and lovers,

It is always a pleasure for me to come before you to address my order of the end of the year in the case of the Christmas feast.

These days are indeed better than other days during the year. After listening to songs, exchanging gifts, enjoying the lighting of the squares, and decorating our homes. All of this creates a festive spirit, which extends everywhere during the month of December, which we call the Age of the Future or the Advent. The following New Year's Festival also presents all willful people at this festival and enables them to experience the joy of Christmas. Some even take an active part in the celebration.

All this look at the Christmas party, based on human size, is as far as the eye can see, and as far as it can imagine, no longer last until the first days of the New Year. Then, everything begins and fades again - the beautiful carols are no longer heard in the malls, the lighting of the squares is removed, and we are forced back to our daily jobs. Even TV screens and social media remove songs, dances, and moods, yet news of burglary or the breaking of a church or mosque; of losing lives in traffic accidents; of senseless suicides or murders. In the family, however, old problems are raised that add to their sadness when they see their bank account or empty wallet.

Let's put aside the human size of Christmas experience and go back to its Messianic size, which is the true size of the holiday and the Christmas celebration. Then, in the experience that is donated to us during the celebration of this festival, within the Christian community, and in the Gulf of the Church; that is, in the spiritual extent it carries within itself.

For the believer, Christmas is the festival of great joy, for the love God has given to the world, incarnating the Word of Amshame in the chest of the Virgin Mary. Which is God's greatest company in his eternal attempt to renew his most excellent work, which is me and you, brother and sister.

When we believe this, and see how God's Spirit, who has been given us, has made us more painful, merciful, merciful, generous, more faithful, more loving, peace - loving, and lowly, then we thank God for these gifts and joyfully celebrate the Festival of Christmas. When we share this joy with the baptized community within the Church, the celebration of Christmas becomes a moment of brotherhood, peace, and happiness that strengthens us to face the difficulties mentioned above with love and patience. For we, in Christ, have found the guidance of our migration into the world, the teacher of life, the rewarder of our sins, the mediator who reconciled us to the Heavenly Father, the true savior, the Almighty over death, and the Lord of life. This makes church happiness, joy, and song natural, “Glory be to God in high heaven and peace to good people on earth”

Christmas, at its core, carries God's invitation to return to Him, so that we, who can see with our eyes the whole world, but not our face, in the brightness of His light, recognize the beauty of our soul.

Christ's invitation to return is not an offer to leave one thing and get something else. Nor is it a requirement for a religion that they embrace another. But it is an invitation to convert the heart so that it can be filled with love and able to love mankind, the earth and the sky, as God does; it is an invitation to convert the soul into the Spirit of God, which makes us better, more painful, more merciful, milder, juster, and most holy. This change makes us new men, who bear the good news of salvation; we are turned into a spring of love, and become bearers of peace and witnesses of the Lord.

Brothers and sisters,

If we could reach this level of religion, this space of love, and this possibility of sanctification, then all of us would be more holy and our lives would be different. So, among us, we would not have poor people living without shelter this winter; neither would we have conflicts and disagreements with one another nor among those who carry public responsibility or political power. Likewise, we would not see the people's fate threatened and the will of citizens curbed, procrastinating dialogue. But we would already have state institutions and see them serve citizens, co-Sacrificing for the good of the country, working together for the progress of people's lives and trying to achieve reconciliation among peoples.

I cannot help but remember, these days, all those souls that cut off their lives in Albania. The wounded who still are sick of their wounds, that sadness, and the tears of their children, men and women, and all those homeless and hopeless families in these winter nights.

On the other hand, I want to thank and express gratitude to all the people and institutions who in this time have offered various services, provided or collected aid, and those who have offered their professional training in trying to help people. We encourage them to keep doing the same thing further. May God reward the work of all those who do good on earth.

However, I cannot help but point out the shortcomings that appear around us that are not few. But the most unusual of these is that political explorers - not even in these moments of disaster - are being able to cooperate for the better of the country and for the benefit of people. Let them find their way to peace and reconciliation forever.

Above all, it is strange and painful at the same time that, everywhere Albanians live, collective distrust in the best future. And it is clearly seen how some curb the processes that lead to this purpose. And those who are too proud to take us all to the misfortunes they have decided for us.

This time becomes even more incomprehensible when some members of the European family, instead of helping us to promote our European identity, judge us for cultural oversurpasses and push us to the <x0hibride” initiative, viewing us as a political ethnicity, unlike them.

In view of all that we have experienced and have seen so far, we are even more encouraged to pray to God about our country and our future, so that this Christmas holiday becomes a source of hope, life, and love for each of us and to enable us all to have more peace, love, understanding, and reconciliation.
