As one AFP reports, two victims were born in 2014, one in 2017. The tragedy has occurred in Moingt, whose waters have recently increased from heavy rain, China reports.
The 35-year-old mother from Kosovo was eating with the children at a fast-field restaurant before she took them to her house at the end of the afternoon to play near the river in Montbrison.
According to her statements, the brother first fell into the water, and his sister tried to catch him before he was swept away but she drowned.
Their mother also went into the water to save them but failed to bring them back to life. It has warned the people around it to announce emergency services, but these too could do nothing.
The shocked mother was admitted to the hospital. Prosecutor Saint-Etienne's office opened an investigation and ordered the autopsy of both troops.
