20 years after the war, Kosovo is continuing to have problems with territory. Even at the border belt, Serbian gendarmerie is very often seen. KFOR has already placed signs for Kosovo's provisional border demarcation in the village of Karacheva in Kamenica. This is being seen with concern by the inhabitants of this area, who are now moving from this village.

Since the end of the war, residents of this area have sometimes been alarmed at the introduction of Serbian gendarmerie on the territory of the Kamenica municipality.

He has never felt more insecure in his own country. 83-year-old Ishmael Kastiti tells of Kosovo Preress, that since the post-war living in this country has become difficult.

These are free on our Kosovo side. They're free to walk can come to the village by our police. I never see our police guarding the border, standing where the tables are, where the Kosovo Police stand... a retired teacher has come out for mushrooms to collect and have picked up a boy in Bujanovac. Did they punish him or not, I don't know. However, the people are interested, preserved, dare not come near there, the Cubans when they send the animals there go a little bit with fear, once they watch as Vojna passes the police”, he says.

According to Kastrati, 20 years after the war, Serbia is trying to intimidate the Albanian population. It even has an order for Kosovo institutions in this part.

So far our government has not taken measures as far as this area has been occupied by Serbia with the Kumanovo agreement, no one has once raised a deputy in the Kosovo Assembly, on this issue, or we population as many times as we've been in protests about these tables, the time has been KFOR and the mayor of the municipality has been, to change those tables. We don't know that those tables that write 500 meters, 1,000 meters, now they've changed it to zero. We haven't asked us for the last time nothing”, he relates.

Similar tables placed at the entrance of Karacheva had left residents in the past, and there were no such ones since 2010. These signs have already moved within the village for 200 meters, which is being seen with concern by the most vocal resident on this side, Selver Lenyan.

“The deployment of these billboards for 200 metres has been completely moved down, but they don't have the place where we are being interviewed, which is 1,000 metres of Kosovo-Serbia border, under the June 9th Kumanovo Military Technical Agreement. It doesn't even have this sign, all the citizens of Karatcheva, the people who have strongly opposed it because it's our land, it's the land we have with the cadastral trains with administrative boundaries, it's our territory. However, we are being powerless to make these decisions to protect this part of Kosovo territory”, Lenyan says.

There is also a point from Serbia's Police, which residents of this part are expressing concern.

Despite KFOR statements that there is no responsibility in issues related to Kosovo's borders, he continues to monitor the border line with Serbia in the village of Karachev.

Until, since 2014, the police have been banned from KFOR and the exploitation of the “By Pass” road, which enables circulation in the villages of this area.

Selver Lenyan says that he has announced all institutions, however, says this village is not interested in them.

There are no institutions that have not been informed, nor municipalities nor areas nor governments, but there are no institutions, but they haven't dared or cared to you, or they didn't want, because we border generation people have no people in Government, we don't have people in institutions to raise this issue, we set up as local communities, but nobody listens to”, Lenjan adds.

And until Kosovo and Serbia agree on which 600m roads they belong, 170 owners since the beginning of 2001 when this disagreement began, their properties are endangered.

“In the border belt, 170 owners are at risk of their own land, which is owned by the Kamenica municipality, the property of Kosovo territory. 170 owners are named and settle, losing their lands. However, this is a military technical agreement on Kumanovo, June 9th that has been forged by the Serbian factor has been dedicated to this cadastral documentation, geographical, geodezic maps for the international factor, for which the residents of the border generation are badly damaged, because it is a big problem that it is the territory of our”, Lenjan adds.

Lenjani says the negotiating team for talks with Serbia should take into account this border generation, while underlining that this area is breaking up. He stresses that as a result of the neglect of this part of institutions, residents are moving from here.

That the neglect of institutions is the main concern of residents and the village administrator, Armend Kastrati, says.

The greatest concern is the neglect of institutions that they make these political games that are leaving us as hostages for both residents, but also with us”, he said.

He says there have been numerous protests as residents of this country, but also meeting with Kamenica chairman until he expresses confidence that institutions should make solutions.

And resident Fadil Lenyan is thinking about the increase in property there is and the shift from here.

Fadil Lenyan: There's no attitude for us here (Video)

There's no attitude for us here, it's fear, it's great damage to us. If this area of the earth has gone... they've put this KFOR in here, we know there's something, it's giving a sign that it's not ours... Maybe I don't, probably soon I'll be out of here”, Lenyan says.

In this regard, Kosova Preress has been expecting an answer for several weeks from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but the same have not been accessible.

Kosovo has not yet made the mark of the border line with Serbia. And this process has been highly contradictory with two other states -- Macedonia and Montenegro recently.

Kosova Prees has also managed to secure documents that testify to this fact, and the country as a whole has 32,000 inhabitants in both Karatcheva territories.
