Nobody likes the thought of losing a wallet. You may not have money in it, but you may immediately lose bank cards, documents, and all other things you will never see again. Research shows that the chances of someone turning the wallet backwards is if there's a picture of a child inside.
Research
Professor Richard Wisseman of Hertfordshire University wanted to know what kind of effect a picture would have on a missing portfolio: whether he would return or not! He and the team lost 240 different wallets throughout Edinburgh and wanted to know how many of them would return from the person who found it. The cult included pictures of babies, coffee, or an older couple. There were also some wallets that had no pictures in it. The result? The wallets with pictures of babies were returned mostly.
Back wallets
An 88% of wallets were returned with pictures of babies. Of those with puppy photos returned 53%, and family photo wallets were returned 48%. Photos with an elderly couple were at the end of the ranking after only 28% returned.
