The problem, which lasted for two hours, was caused by the physical fatigue of several fiber optic cables, an extremely unusual thing.
Google said its services were unavailable in areas mentioned for more than 30 minutes.
The company told internet providers (ISP) to connect to other servers to bypass the problem.
Accesses in Bulgaria, Iran and Turkey had been having problems for two hours. No information was given about broken cables. In the past, there have been similar cases where optic cables have been incorrectly cut.
In 2011, a 75-year-old woman had damaged optic cables linking Georgia and Armenia while searching for scraps.
