Several groups promoting fake cancer drugs have been removed on Facebook, reports MSN.

The two displaced groups had about 33,000 members and were removed based on Facebook rules of criminal and violent behaviour.

Groups have promoted the use of black balsam to treat skin and breast cancer, broadcast Top Chanel.

The American Food and Barnets Administration considers this kind of balsam to be an illegal treatment for treating cancer. The Facebook group explained how users can create it on their own and where they can take it from abroad.

Facebook wants all social network users to feel safe and to say they are constantly controlling policy violations.

We take appropriate action against any group that we consider to be contrary to our policies when they become aware of them. Groups have been removed for violating our policies regarding violent and criminal behaviour,” said a company spokesman.
