On November 26, 2019, the strongest earthquake that hit the Balkans in over 30 years hit Albania, killing 51 people and wounding more than 900. In an Instagram post, Eliza shared her thoughts after the earthquake, “to all affected by this devastating earthquake, we are sending our love and prayers and collection of aid, immediately”.
The show is free, but cash and Czech donations will be accepted. The funds will go directly to individuals affected by the earthquake or nonprofit organisations working to help them.
The show is Friday, December 6th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Auditarium Tsai at the Center for Governance and International Studies at Harvard University. The event is co-organised by the Harvard Albanian Students Association.
The organisation's founder, Danny Hoxha, third year in college, says “Every Albanian feels bad after what happened in our country, and therefore Albanians are together to increase awareness and help. So far, our society has raised 1,000 dollars but we hope to collect more. That's why we're organizing this event with Elise and together helping the affected families “.
The information on tickets has been distributed on the pages of Eliza Dushk and an eventbite.
