Boston residents in the United States and surrounding students contributed to helping Albania after the earthquake with a performance of Eliza Dushk's documentary film “Dear Albany” at Harvard University this Friday.
Prior to the event, the organisation had collected $144 on an online donation open to GoFundMe. Meanwhile, during last night's show, the world-renowned Albanian actress and her husband, Peter Palandjian, doubled every donation that raised the sum to $830. The Albanian Student Association at Harvard published on the social Facebook network several mag photos of the show, where Eliza and her brother, Nate Dushk, were present. What a big charity night! A week after catastrophic earthquakes in Albania, our organisation gathered $8030 in tonight's documentary show “Dear Albany”, welcomed by Nate and Eliza Dushku. In difficult times, this event reminded us of the unity and solidarity of Albanians. Thank you for all of you who came and donated. We also want to thank Eliza and Peter Palandjian for doubling all donations. Including our GoFundMe, who has raised $144, this brings the total funds of Harvard ASA for the earthquake to $974”, the report says.
Meanwhile, they further wrote that it has not yet been correctly established where the money will go, yet Albanians will remain for everything further informed.
