Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama hosted a meeting today with representatives of the Council of Europe Bank, which has awarded a donation of half a million euros to assist planning and design, with all willingness to support the further funding the Reconstruction Programme.
At the start of the meeting, the representative of the Council of Europe Bank said that “we want to know if there are other projects in order to help”.
The prime minister expressed gratitude for the Council of Europe's donation, while praising excellent co-operation with the Bank.
We have many projects and one of them is the one for social housing. This project that was achieved when I was mayor makes me proud”, Rama said, during this meeting.
Rama thanked for this donation, while saying we hope to have a donor conference.
“Hopefully the conference will be held soon and we will get more. At the same time, however, we will see what other things we can do with you. We have schools, gardens and primary care institutions that need”, Rama said.
The prime minister stressed that “is good to have this fund to help the weak”. “We need to focus on projects and planning. We also have some neighborhoods to build from scratch. So we need dozens of engineers to handle”, the prime minister stressed.
