The Estonian opposition filed a no-confidence motion against Interior Minister Mart Helme, leader of the far-right party E. KRE, for insults and labels as <x0 numbered” of the Finnish prime minister.
The leader of the main opposition formation, the Reform Party, Kaya Kallas, told public television, The ER that the motion requiring Helmes' removal from the government had the support of members of the Social-Democratic Party (opposition), but also of a parliamentary of Isamaa, a conservative party of the tripartite coalition in power headed by Prime Minister Yuri Ratas, of the Centre party.
“Martin Helme has several times damaged the reputation of the Estonian state, and if we leave him in the minister's post he could do even more damage to Estonia and we would be even more covered by shame”, Kallas stressed.
The “is not about judging the coalition or the government, but only one minister”, she added.
On Sunday, during an interview with a radio party of his party, Helme questioned the capacity of Social Democrat Sanna Marin (34, the world's newest prime minister) to lead Finland.
