Albanian high school students are failing to advance in the global rankings, making new education reforms necessary. Albania is listed 61st from some 80 countries surveyed in 2018.
The level of Albanian education is again estimated average or poor in the international ranking.
Students' international assessment programme known as “PISA” lists Albania 61st of 79 received in the study last year.
Compared to the 2015 testing, the result has deteriorated by 10 countries, although the number of surveyed states is higher.
Testing O The ECD measures the student capacity of 15-year-old youth in natural reading, mathematics and science disciplines and affects the reform enterprise in education.
In the field of reading, Albanian students averaged 405 points, or the same as three years ago.
The science field reports a 10 point drop to 417, while the math discipline trajectory is the most positive, growing from 413 to 437 points.
This change is also appreciated by the OECD, as opposed to teaching advances and the incentives of Albanian authorities to increase student registration rates in high schools.
For the Balkan region, Croatia ranks best in 29th place, Serbia 45th, 52nd Montenegro, Macedonia and 67th, while Kosovo is the lowest in the country, 77 out of 79 total.
Here again, Asian countries like China and Singapore lead the ranking, followed by Estonia as one of the European states with the world's top middle educational system.
