Kosovo Customs General Director Bahri Berisha said that in recent years there is a drop in imports of fireworks in Kosovo.
According to him, the impact on the smallest import of the pyrotechnic tool is the establishment of excises and awareness of citizens.
Destan Mustafa, leader of the Weapons, Munition and Explozied Division from the Department of Public Security at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, made known to Kosovo that the period of selling fireworks in Kosovo has already started from December 19th to December 31st, as their use begins from December 26th to January 2nd.
According to him, selling fireworks at this time of year does not require any special permission at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
With the aim of increasing security in cities, the municipality of Pristina, Lipjan, Drenas, Malisheva, Prizren has banned the use and sale of pyrotechnic vehicles.
By ordering a ban on the use of pyrotechnic means in open public places, Pristina municipality has also emerged, respectively, on markets, roads and squares. Even violators of this ordinance according to this municipality's announcement will be fined 100 euros.
