VV insists on meeting leaders, LDK says meeting will happen mid-week

Despite the will for co-government, two weeks have already passed since the last meeting between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo for forming future governance. The two parties lack reciprocal meetings during this time do not consider gygence between them, but have differences in the time period when the closure [...] should occur.
The two parties' lack of mutual meetings during this time do not consider chinggçu between them, but differ over the time period when the conclusion of the co-government agreement should occur.
In the VV demand that as soon as this meeting takes place, while in LDK they say the meeting will take place in the middle of next week, after the election is certified, as they say there can be no division of power without correctly knowing the number of MPs.
This 14-day vacuum without meetings for representatives of civil society is unnecessary.
Vetevendosje Leadership member Albulen Haxhiu tells Kosova Preis that nothing prevents the Certificate of CEC results to discuss some topics that differ.
It calls on the LDK to have with the same intensity of meetings that have had working groups taking place meetings between the two party leaders.
Haxhiu: We will engage as soon as the meeting between the two party leaders takes place
We have never asked to sign the agreement before the CEC certified the election results. But nothing prevents us from talking about subjects. In this case, if we have completed more than 80 per cent of the programming issues, it is now a discussion on the division of ministries and the question of dialogue with Serbia, but another issue that the working group has not found reconciliation. So I don't understand if there's any hesitation on the part of the LDK why there are such statements as long as there are internal meetings we've had has been extremely positive. Therefore, we invite those with the same intensity as the working groups have had to continue the chairmanial meetings. We will commit to the meeting as early as”, Haxhiu says.
More sceptical that the meeting will take place within this week says LDK spokesman Besian Mustafa, who says this could happen in the middle of next week, as there cannot be a meeting separating ministries, without having accurate information about how many MPs have the two parties.
Mustafa: Mustafa- Kurti meeting, following results Certificate
Video:
The next mid-week we will also have the certificate of results from the CEC, then as soon as it allows the agenda of the two leaders, Mustafa and Kurti will have the next meeting to conclude the political aspect of the co-governance agreement. This meeting will be held following the certificate of results. We cannot have a meeting where we share the powers, so to have the final structure of the future government and the division of powers, ministries between our parties without any accurate information about how many MPs we will have as two parties. Will we have 57 or 61, that's very important. That's why we're going to wait until the CEC Certificate to have confirmation of the seats in Parliament”, Mustafa says.
Political analyst Arton Demhaje views these delays as a tendency by the LDK to see Vetevendosje Movement in a smoother position, in order to increase appetites for ministerial posts.
Demhaya: No results certificate expected
“There is no need to expect the certificate of results, but meetings should just be held for their discussions on the approach of their political programmes. And at the same time, for the creation of a governing plan and government resource sharing between these two political subjects. From the moment we have announced or certified the final results of the CEC, these will be ready and immediately there will be no further delays... Potecically, the LDK expects this to see a slightly softer VV position on the part of the number of MPs that this will then be transformed into the separation of ministerial positions that make these two political subjects”, Demhasaj says.
In the 6 October elections, the Vetevendosje Movement, according to the CEC's results, followed by the LDK.
These two parties have been trying to form future governance for over a month. While, following the PZAP and Supreme decision with the departure from general votes of balloting from Serbia, coalition Initiative - The AKR-PD is currently above the election threshold.
