After creating the most precious hour in the world, Switzerland now boasts even the most expensive chocolate.
Attimio is breaking all records when it comes to the cost of chocolate: it costs 640 francs for 80 grams.
Created by Alain Mettler in Kriens (LU), it is made from Grand Cru chocolate with a 68% cacao content, a grit, an orange allusion and a fresh cookie.
It is known that the cocoa comes from the small village of Chuao, Venezuela, where it has been cultivated for 400 years. Its beans are from a very limited harvest. Fortunately, Metler has managed to get 10kg of enough to make 50 exclusive chocolate bars.
He told The Local on Friday that the “majority of revenues from” from chocolate would return to cocoa farmers in Venezuela to invest in a sustainable increase in their plantations.
Given its high price, “Attimo” is now listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's most expensive “
Mettler said he was fun by creating this record chocolate, acknowledging that he “vuri several pounds” while developing the recipe.
