Scandal: The U.S. hospital accidentally places the metal rod on a patient's spine

Maraj for “Gazeta Blic” has detailed all the suffering in hospitals and the failed operation he claims to have performed at the American Hospital in Tirana.

I was first operated in 2003 at the State Hospital in the Terminal Surgery Clinic for the problem. After 18 years, problems have surfaced, and no hospital has taken over the operation. Even in Tirana, I was told in Teresa's “Hospital that this type of operation cannot be conducted either in Tirana or in Kosovo. I've been given all the reports to perform the operation abroad because it couldn't be accomplished here and was fatally under the age of 18. But a doctor at the U.S. Hospital told me that I've performed this operation before in London and that I can take over. I was asked by the Ministry whether they would do it in Germany or in the U.S. Hospital to carry out the operation and I decided to do it there, that is, at the American Hospital, because it could be fatally the procedure was easier because the economic conditions were not good and I agreed to do it”, says Maraj.

Maraj also shows how he has been able to provide the amount of money for the operation and how the event with the operation has come about.

“Adnan Hyseni, Ministry of Istogs and my people have collected the money and deposited it 2 and a half months ago because they told me we're expecting a doctor from Germany, because I just can't handle the operation. I've suffered like that in hospitals all the time with injections, and when I'm in hospital after two and a half months, I'm told we have to cut two metal bars coming from London. After I was hospitalised, Germany's doctor said I couldn't come because you're in danger of life and I can't handle this operation. That's when Dr. Arben Kojqiqi at the American Hospital told me to fire himself without them, so without Germany's doctor. I paid for two metal bars, but after surgery I went to the room that I had two days in a coma, the doctor told me I had to put two bars on me, but the aesthetic way had to remove one and only one rod to decide. But in recording live operations it's said to need two bars, but only one rod. Three years I regularly went for inspections, and he kept avoiding me and didn't tell me the surgery failed. I've been using Morphina, I had to get permission from the Police and Pec Hospital with three signatures to use morphine at home”, he confessed.

Maraj further talks about the abuse and expense of money he received at the U.S. Hospital.

He relates the moment when he was shocked to get that answer.

He claims that from this he has also earned hepatitis, diabetes, and heart disease because he has not been professionally performed.

He says 18 thousand and 500 euros have been the sum of the operation conducted at the American Hospital.

My condition has further deteriorated, and I have remained at Peja Hospital for six weeks, where the doctor there says that the rod has been misplaced and should urgently be removed because my life could be threatened. From there I was sent with the first aid to Pristina, and it has proved that the rod has been placed incorrectly and three signatures gave me the report to go to the American Hospital at that price. With those documents I'm headed to American Hospital, and that's where the codinator gave me the letter that this operation is not conducted in Albania or Kosovo. I didn't even get my money back from another vault that didn't come up with it, and even though I had my checks back at that price, they took money from me and the controls.
I am the opera in Turkey, and Turkey has proven that the rod has been placed to me by mistake and that they are asking for 11 thousand and 200 euros to take me out but I don't have and can't beg the Ministry at all times, Maraj says in his confession.

“Gazeta Blic” has also communicated with Chief of Internastics Department at Pay Hospital Dr. Luan Rexebogaj, who has been following the condition of patient Ardjan Maraj in this hospital.

Redboggaj for Blic Journal has stressed that the Maraj patient has conducted an operation in “The American hospital”, which originally resulted in success but has not succeeded the posttopera situation.

It has gone to Turkey for checks, they have attempted an anti-alergy therapy not to reach a compromise with that foreign body, but there is no result, and it has had to be pulled by metal bars. This is already in place, two operations are successful, the second operation has been successful, but the body has not accepted the metal rod and has had to be removed. I don't have the powers to say whether this operation was good or not, but I know that the operation at American Hospital has been unsuccessful” Dr. Luan Rajebogaj told Blic newspaper.

“Gazeta Blic” has communicated with American Hospital No.3 in Tirana, but the same have stressed that the patient, named Ardian Maraj, has no history at the American Hospital and has not been operated by Dr. Arben Kojqiqiqi.

Arben Kojqiqi works here and that patient hasn't seen him, there's no history at all that patient in this hospital”, says in the phone response that the American Hospital Coordinator in Tirana has given to “Gazeta Blic”.
