German Bundestag MP Peter Bayer in the Kosovo rapporteur race at the Council of Europe has defeated Russia, Alexey Kondratyev.
During today's vote on the Committee for Foreign Policy and Democracy of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, he won 33 votes against Kondratyev, which received 6 Sish.
The decision to elect Kosovo rapporteurs in the KiE will be passed through other mechanisms of this Council, but that today's vote counts the most important.
The Council of Europe had to choose the rapporteur for Kosovo, where Russian Alexey Kondrayev, who was a spy for Russia, had openly expressed his pro-Serbian anim and anti-Albanian prejudices. Metro has learned that this will not happen now and that the official announcement will become public today.
Meanwhile, it is announced that German candidate Peter Bayer has been selected rapporteur for Kosovo at the Council of Europe.
