Silva was initially accused of improper behaviour by the FA in October, after on September 22nd had posted a photo of Mendy when he was a child and next to him another photo of Conguito, with the description “find out who he is?”
Silva's post that was immediately deleted
Portuguese deleted the post and then wrote a message containing the words: “Today you can't even joke with your friend. you people... ”.
Although the FA said the 25-year-old did not intend to be racist, he has decided to suspend him for Manchester City's next match.
That means Silva will be absent against Chelsea on November 23rd.
Many people would have felt offended by that post. The player has not intended to be offensive or racist. Clearly, his aim has been to be a joke among close friends”, says the FA report.
