Long ago, exactly on September 25, 2019, The PDK branch in Prizren has warned of one case, since then it has been developing, and since now, namely, at the last meeting of the Municipal Assembly, November 11, 2019, after 3 attempts to smuggle, it has finally been voted.

But what is it really about?

It's about municipal property, which has a total of 459 square metres, in which the company Sopiaj plans to build residences.

If the surface of this property is calculated and multiplied by 8 stories, as planned to build, the total amount will be 3 thousand and 662 square meters per total of residences.

The value in the housing area, where it is planned to be built, is 700 euros per square metre, and if it is multiplied by 3 thousand and 662 square metres, a total of 2 million and 570 thousand and 400 euros.

The fact is, what is the real purpose of this action?

On the one hand, it is said that if the municipality does not enter into agreement with the business in question, this parcel will remain unusable and both worthless.

But that's not true, and around this issue it's important to note that there have been proposals from the opposition, that parcels in question, would have been more rational to use for green, for park, for children's playgrounds, because we are witnesses that, in almost all collective dwellings, these kinds of spaces are missing.

But if the municipality enters into agreement, it can take housing, about 1,000 square metres, which will be divided into social cases.

Such reasoning seems a bit suspicious and triggers dilemmas, especially when we consider the fact that:

• Municipal Transparency is not at the right level:

Or when the board of directors' meetings were held first, they were closed to the public and there were reactions to the NGO network;

Or no board meetings are held at all now.

• Social residences, which have financed municipalities themselves, have had serious problems respecting the criteria for distributing them.

In this case, we want to inform the public opinion that the PDK will continue to be at work, to protect public interest, and to denounce any action, which not only is not public interest, but I can also jeopardise it.
