Pacolli has provided an idea for the creation of a free economic zone that would include a part of southern Serbia, northern Kosovo and Sandzak, which the EU would help financially.

Speaking about a possible meeting with Vuciq, Pacolli said in an interview for Bosnian TV Face that Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq should recognise Kosovo's independence.
“Vucciq, you have only one chance to recognise Kosovo, to accept reality. Kosovo is born and there is no turning back. If he wants to understand that he has to accept reality in Kosovo and everything else would be easy. Kosovo is a state, has its own institutions. This is the only solution and only exit from the” crisis, Pacolli said.
According to him, demarcation of the border between Kosovo and Serbia is impossible, as it is dangerous.
