Democratic League of Kosovo Chairman Isa Mustafa has celebrated Albania's Independence Day.
Mustafa says the 107th anniversary of Albania's declaration of independence finds all the Albanian people full of pain. Today, Mustafa says, we cannot celebrate, but we praise our national power.
These 107 years and thousands of years ago, we shared the same story, joy, pain, happiness, tragedy. The state of Kosovo and every citizen of it have been mobilised with all the forces we have, to support the state and the people of Albania. The Democratic League of Kosovo is deeply shaken by the tragic earthquake that occurred in Durres and Themana, we co-ordinate and share the pain with relatives of those who lost their lives and with those who have been hurt”, Mustafa wrote on his Facebook.
Here's his full reaction:
The 107th anniversary of Albania's declaration of independence finds all the Albanian people full of pain. The quake that struck the Albanian state these days resulted in the loss of the lives of many Albanians and the injury of hundreds of others, in addition to major material damage.
These 107 years and thousands of years ago, we have shared the same story, joy, pain, happiness, tragedy. The state of Kosovo and every citizen of it have been mobilised with all the forces we have, to support the state and the people of Albania. The Democratic League of Kosovo is deeply shaken by the tragic earthquake that took place in Durres and Themana, we co-ordinate and share the pain with relatives of those who lost their lives and those who were hurt.
These are moments that test and confirm the spiritual power of every people. Albanians, around the world, we're closer to each other than ever before. On this day, marking the peak of the Albanian National Renaissance and the spark of international legitimacy to the demand of all Albanians in the Balkans for independence, we broadcast once again our strength to comfort each other, to pray for each other and to support each other towards recovery.
Today we cannot celebrate, but we praise our vast national power to stand up to each other and to overcome any difficulty in building a brighter future for our children. I hope all the family members of those who lost their lives find comfort, the injured find healing, and all the Albanian people find some spiritual calm these sad days. /Periscopi/
