Public university rectors in Kosovo have reacted to the letter the outgoing Minister of August, Shyqi Bytyqi, has sent to Ferizaj University Rector Agron Bayraktar.
Through an official letter, Minister Bytyqi called Bayraktari filthy, blackmailing and unsavory, passing to the personal level after claiming the latter had exceeded his competencies by demanding CV of three members appointed by the education minister and strategic plan before the consolidation of the Steering Council's bodies, writes the Herald Signal.
I wonder where you take this courage and what basis you act so illegal, or are guided by other goals, perhaps even meskians, in all of this ignorance of yours! Through this letter I want you to let them know that you're in violation of the law and you're not even in your right as to the authority that gives you the Rector's clothing, and you don't have such powers”, it says in Shyqri Bytyqi's letter.
He has not hesitated to call Ferizaj University's reactor dirty.
The people say “as far as your ethical vocabulary before KD is concerned about the minister, the people say “has changed”! That's why I'll see you in court! ”, Bytyqi said.
By publishing the minister's letter, the reactors have described Bytyqi's used language as a threat
The “Rectors have unanimously expressed deep indignation over the threatening, outrageous and ethical language of the minister of August, Shyqiri Bytyqi, in the 19/01B letter addressed to the USAF sector, Prof. Dr. Agron Bajraktari”, said in response to the media.
In response issued by the reactors, the letter by Minister Bytyqi sent to the Ferizaj University sector is regrets, and according to them is evidence of how degraded educational policies in the Government of Kosovo and “political parties have deviated from the treatment of education frameworks”.
“Rectors' conference stresses the fact that this is not the first time the minister exceeds his competencies, by interfering with the autonomy of public universities. Since Mr. Chairman was elected. Bytyqi has led an institutional rather than institutional policy against public universities”, said in response.
“guarantees all senior education officials, especially students, professors and administrations of public universities, but other Heeders outside universities, that no malicious policy of any ministry could harm the autonomy of public universities and academic freedom, guaranteed by law”, is said further in their response.
