Sinisa Mihajlovic is undergoing one of the most difficult moments in his life. He's fighting leukemia and he finished the third cycle of treatment yesterday. Doctors say Serbian Bologna coach has given good signals and that he can manage to win the most important battle of life.
Serbia yesterday, after leaving the hospital, the 50-year-old has not forgotten to do the three-finger gesture of Serbian centizens. Cetnik is the term coming from Serb forces in World War I under the command of Costa Pekanac and from Serb forces in World War II under the command of Drzesa Mihajlovic. But that term, now disparaging, is used to identify hardline nationalist Serbs and several paramilitary forces led by the notorious criminal Arkan.
In his youth he has distinguished himself for strong nationalist statements, even when playing with Lacion, urged fans to place a banner in the stadium in honor of Arkan, a few days after he was killed. We remember Mihajlovic had a physical crash with Igli taren when he played with Inter and Albania's captain was part of Lacio.
