First I decided to try in Albania to run for specialisation. It didn't work, so I made up my mind to go to Germany. We were a group of 26 who completed our studies in 2010. Half, so 13, we're in Germany.
But immediately, the doors were closed at home with calls from Germany for doctors.

Now I work as a surgeon at Baden-Baden.
In parallel, the language converted medical diplomas. In February of this year, he founded the Association of Albanian Doctors in Germany. And they're currently working to build branches in Germany's 16 classes.
Marcela Ceno:
If we organize, we grow our reputation. and in the future turn the German attention to our country.
It cannot mean how many doctors are part of the association, since they are in creation.
Marcela Ceno:
According to the Berlin Federal Medical Chamber, there are about 680 Albanian doctors in Berlin until December 2018. If we add those who are proceeding, there are about 800 Albanian doctors in Germany.
In addition to the six-year specialization he also performed a 3-year Ph.D. for a new surgical technique. The 33-year-old counts about 850 operations both during specialization and after.
Marcela Ceno:
I didn't come here because I didn't have the necessary recognition or payment to take the place of specialization. There are few hospitals in Albania that give you the possibility of specialization, while in Germany they have it all. Those doctors from our generation who did specialization in Albania are also coming to Germany.
The road to success was not paved with roses. At first, he faced the prejudices of his German colleagues but for a short time.
A colleague told me: “You're coming from the jungle” One colleague said that when he flew over Albania, his wife asked me: Do you have a washing machine?
A surgeon's fee is worth 7 00 grand old, and in Germany the first year of specialization, the person receives payment of 38,000 euros.
Marcela Ceno:
As a specialized doctor, wages are constantly increasing. A doctor like me goes as far as 7,000 euros. I wouldn't do anything different. Maybe I'd made the decision to go faster to Germany and not lose two years I lost here waiting for an opportunity from the Albanian system.
