According to him, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has taken advantage of the moment when Albania and Northern Macedonia are awaiting opening negotiations with the EU.
“Vukiqi has taken advantage of the moment when both Albania and Macedonia expected to start negotiations for EU membership, and those with this initiative have wanted to give some incentive to ease the resistance of Macron and several other countries. The Vuchchi used this”, Malchi said. “We have worked to restore normal reports with Serbia, and this has been achieved. The Berlin Process is like the Mentor of Mini-Schengen”.
Maliqi further adds that the reforms seeking the EU themselves lead to the creation of an open market for the region and the world.
The “Plus is that indeed all the reforms that make these states, driven by those tasks that Brussels gives to become a member, that you should create this type of autonomy and an internal market that is open to the region and the whole world. It's not like something is being imposed but you have to create these conditions by yourself, he said.
According to Maliqi, such a process should be predicted in a broader vision and not set off by current situations.
“These are immediate obstacles (recognition from Serbia) but sometimes you need to start from the vision that one day you will reach the stage that EU member states have and reports between themselves, and when they have created a customs union or common market”, Maliqi has said.
