By noon, the number of those who lost their lives has gone to 13.
Rescue teams have so far saved 28 people, leaving the ruins of buildings damaged by the earthquake that struck the country today.
According to preliminary data from the Institute of Genocence, Energy, Water and Environment, the quake reportedly was 6.3 magnitude.
The quake's epicentre was 10km from Durres and 31km from Tirana.
