Because water is vital to your survival, it does not mean that you drink all the time. Many people maintain the drinking rule of up to 8 cups of water a day. The problem with this rule is that it does not take into account certain factors that are humanity, age, physical activity, length, and weather.
Over-hydration is as bad and dangerous as dehydration. There are numerous symptoms associated with excessive water drinking. One of the effects of overhydration is what is known as hypoonatremia, in which the amount of sodium in your bloodstream is very low. Hypernetramia is a serious thing because it can cause cardio-pulmonary arrest, brain swelling, blockage, comet state, even death!
The proper balance of water and sodium in the bloodstream is vital.
The sodium is an electrolytes that helps regulate the amount of water in the cells. Too much sodium is harmful to your health, but its absence is extremely harmful.
If there is more water in your bloodstream than sodium, hypogontremia occurs. This causes your body cells to leak into water and end up swollen because there's not enough sodium to regulate the amount of water in cells and around them. This cell swelling causes various problems, ranging from the most minimal to those that threaten life.

At first, someone suffering from hypotrome will experience flulike symptoms. They are easy at first, followed by nausea and vomiting. Pain and muscle weakness are indications that hyponatremia is progressing. The person will likely experience impasse, unconsciousness, and coma. Because of the increase in blood volume, lower extremes can swell and the lungs are filled with water, which causes breathing difficulties.
Hippotromia can also cause behavioral changes because the brain swells. Individuals can show lack of attention, delirium, grassage, and irrational behavior. There can also be confusion in sight.
Counsel to determine whether you are drinking too much water
To prevent excessive drinking of water, it is good to understand your body's signals. You can use urine as a guide. Consider yourself confident whether your urine is straw or yellow - colored. If it's transparent, you drink more water than you should. Of course, you should drink more water if your urine is dark yellow, one of the indications that you are dehydrated.
Watch how often you go to the bathroom to pee. You should drink less if you go to the bathroom every two hours. The same is true if you ruin sleep at night because you must go to pee several times.
You should drink more water if you wake up in the thirsty morning. Experts say that you should drink with a sip in the morning and not store up large amounts of water. Remember, your body has just woken up, and you must gradually increase the water's content on it.
