The former head of the LDK Parliamentary Group Avdullah Hoti has rejected the presidency's shift to the offices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Agriculture.
Hoti says that without solutions to placing hundreds of employees of these two ministries in a public property where there is no rent, it would imply an increase in government rental expenses.
It is natural for the presidency to be placed in a more impressive and appropriate object, such as the object of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Agriculture. But this should happen in addition to building the facility or finding a solution for the two ministries to accommodate. Otherwise, rent expenses will increase for hundreds of thousands of euros a year, which even now are high”, Hoti wrote on Facebook.
According to him, the comfort of public officials cannot be increased at the expense of public, with all due respect for the highest state institution, which is the Presidency. The idea for building an office for the president of Kosovo could move forward in the next 2 years, as more than 1m and 500 thousand euros have already been earmarked. Periscope.
