More than a month after the incident, the sentence was pronounced to Serbian Judge Darko Milakovic's attackers in Germany.
Albanian club football players from Germany KF Isa Boletini Sindelfigen attacked and hurt Milakovic after his match with FSV Deufringen.
The result was 3-2 for Deufringen, Judge Milakovic ruled out two Sindelfinen guest players.
When the match ended, two players from the Albanian club Mergim Dobruna and Adonis Gashi approached the judge and began shouting and hitting him.
Then they joined several other teammates in the attack on the Serb.
Gashi later took up the corner flag with the aim of hitting Milakovic, who was rescued by the Deufringen players from a heavy beating. Milakovic ended up in the hospital with a knee injury.
KF Club Isa Boletini Sindelfinen was fined 1,000, a record sentence for that level of competition, while the Dobruna and Gashi players received 18 months of maximum suspension.
