The Kosovo government at an extraordinary meeting has decided to allocate 500 thousand euros to aid Albania after last night's earthquake.
Immediately after the government's emergency meeting, incumbent Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj before the media has said Kosovo has been very active in quick response to aiding Albanian brothers.
He has also said it is not yet confirmed whether there are Kosovo citizens who have suffered from the earthquake.
We've been active in the newest situation ever created. We've taken the right action, we have authorized private contractors besides the police. They've taken action right away. We've immediately requested that special units, Trepca and other mines respond. I think this is a good way to stay close. We pray that the number of victims will not increase, so should Kosovo be prepared in such a situation. Yet I think there is a preparation for these” situations in Kosovo, Haradinaj has said.
