(7 years ago)Albania continues to be shaken by earthquakes. Just a few minutes ago, another quake of 3.9 square miles [29 km] deep occurred. Its focus has been 8km from Mamurras and 31km from Tirana. During today in the Tirana and Durres area, there have been some quakes of 3.1 [...] scale.

By yesterday, Albania was involved in a wave of earthquakes where the strongest was at 3:54 a.m. 6.4. Richter.
The number of victims has reached 29, while 650 people are injured. Numerous damage has been recorded in buildings, houses and service buildings mainly in the area of Durres, Thumana and Tirana.
Over 45 people were dug out of the ruins of flats and palaces that were collapsed by severe quakes. Today it's been declared national mourning.
