The latest research by the research firm exposed six dangerous antivirus applications that have 1.66 billion downloads at the Play Store.

The problem is the permits that require these so-called security applications that are not required by a real antivirus app.

It's about permission to check the location, camera, and even use the phone without your knowledge. V PN Pro says apps like Virus Clearer, Master Security and Clean Master have been discovered with mountain activities in the past and are still available at the Play, gathering millions of installations.

If you want to download a security app then you have to go for a brand known that you're familiar with. Free applications are for one reason because if you're not paying for them then someone else is paying.

Of course there are some permits that security applications should be used to operate as internet access and memory reading to scan dangerous files.

List of dangerous applications follows as follows:

Security Master Antivirus, V UN, AppLock Booster (500 million downloads)

Antivirus Free 2019 San & Remove Virus, Clearer (10 million downloads)

Virus Clearer 2019 L.A. Antivirus, Clearer & Booster (50 million downloads)

Virus Clearer, Antivirus, Clearer (50 million downloads)

SuperPone Clearer: Virus Clearer, Phone Clearer (50 million downloads)

Clean Master Antivirus, Applock & Clearer (1 billion downloads)
