Costett asks as soon as Government: People voted for parties that said they would fight corruption

The United States Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costnett, commenting on the process of parliamentary elections in Kosovo, has said people have voted for change by voting on parties that sought to reduce corruption and economic development. It is clear that the people of Kosovo voted for change by choosing whose concentration parties are in reducing corruption and increasing economic development. The United States also embrace these goals” has said Costnet.
The ambassador has declared that he expects the certificate of elections and the formation of the new government as soon as possible.
“If all in Kosovo, we expect the certificate of results in the coming days, and we expect the new government to be formed as soon as possible. The embassy encourages continued discussions concerning forming the government before the results are certified. We expect, as the Constitution requires, that the Kosovo government serve for public good for all its citizens of all communities. We expect from all parties, whether in government or in opposition, to behave responsibly and constructively” has said Ambassador Costnet.
Kostett has also talked about the Kosovo dialogue, Serbia, adding that the pause in dialogue has not helped Kosovo economically or its international position.
The “Pause in the dialogue has not helped Kosovo economically or its international position. When it is formed, the new government should provide a new infusion of negotiations with Serbia. The United States will always stand behind Kosovo's sovereignty and independence, but, as Special Representative Matt Palmer said recently in Pristina, we cannot see a path to Kosovo's full integration into the international system without including a comprehensive agreement with Serbia on it. Better relations with Serbia will not shift attention from efforts to build a better future for the people of Kosovo, but will complement them”, the US ambassador has said.
He hopes the new government will address these serious topics.
I am optimistic that the new government will hear the will of the people and address these serious questions” has said US Ambassador Costnet.
