China's Science and Technology Ministry announced it has established a working group to work at 6G.
This marks the official start of research and development in technology 6G”, the ministry's website says.
The working group consists of 37 experts from universities, research institutes and companies.
The study begins when China started using 5G, which is a hundred times faster than the existing 4Gs.
Chinese company Huawei, which is considered the world leader in 5G equipment, is doing research at 6G, the company told AFP.
