First CEC in region for extension of electoral results

Kosovo is the first in the region for the extension of the counting and Certificate of election results. Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro for the elections have not been delayed a month for announcing their results and certificates.

University professor Mazbul Baraliu says of Kosova priss, that based on the current experiences, the electoral process has unfortunately gone down and an unimaginated crawl, because it is disappointing the fact that the CEC is not efficient. Former CEC chairman Mazum Baraliu claims that Kosovo is constantly delaying in the processing and Certificate of election results, compared to the countries in the region. He says more modern digital techniques and methods that are in the CEC should be implemented.

CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, meanwhile, has argued that the delay in announcing results and Certificates is natural, because in every country there are different specifics of the election process.

And Drilona Hoxhaj, spokeswoman for Albania's Central Election Commission, says of Kosova Prees, that in the 2017 elections, the announcement of final results was about a month, which has also occurred.

Hoxhaj says that by the date of 25.6.2017, elections for Albania's Parliament were held in the Republic of Albania, The CEC decided to announce the final outcome of the elections for Albania's Assembly by decision No. 555, 26.07,2017.

In northern Macedonia for parliamentary elections that took place on December 11, 2016, the results have been certified on December 28, 2016, or no more than three weeks have lasted counting and certificate.

KSHZ officials in Northern Macedonia claimed for Kosova Prees, that from their experience, there has never been a delay in the election process as in Kosovo currently occurring.
