The foundation court in Pec has assigned the detention measure for one month, suspects Ardian Celaj, due to the criminal offence of slight bodily injury and the extermination or damage to property. Such a decision has been taken by the presiding court judge, Shaja Curri, on November 20th of this year, after the hearing held at the Court in Pec.
The request for the detention assignment has made the case prosecutor, Joy Hoxha, reports the “Justice Vow”. According to the Court of the Curri case, the detention measure against the suspects is necessary, with the argument that a well-founded doubt has been met that the suspect Celay has committed criminal acts on the basis of evidence found in the subject documents.
According to the judge, there is also the possibility that, with the case of the suspect on freedom, the same will escape, taking into account the fact that he was on the run after the event and did not respond to the prosecution organs.
Similarly, according to Judge Curri, there is the possibility that the suspect will influence witnesses and the injured, if the same is found in freedom, and repeat criminal work.
On the other hand, in the court's ruling, it is stressed that other circumstances have been assessed for setting up a easier measure, but in concrete cases other softer measures offer no assurance of successful development of criminal procedure against the suspects.
In contrast, according to the ruling of the investigation initiated by the Pajë Constitutional Prosecutor on November 19, 2019, notes that there is a reasonable doubt that defendant Ardian Celaj, along with defendant Mehmet Kolqak, who is on the run, has caused minor body injuries to the injured Leotrim Murtezaj, once the inspection director in the Peja municipality, as well as two officials of this director, Mentor Beqiri and Dardan Brlay. According to the investigation, until the injured on November 16, 2019, were standing at the “Don Capfee House”, located at the Peja city park, about 11:00 p.m., the defendants go and try the injured with offensive words and then start physically attacking them by punching them and glass bottles at different parts of the body.
The defendants are also suspected that on the critical night, in co-operation, they have damaged the owner of the bar “Don Caffe House” and that a computer, loptop, table, all worth 3 thousand euros, during the beating of the injuries.
