Diabetes does not spare young ones. Doctor Endocrinologist Florian Totti says there are about 600 children affected.
There are some symptoms through which diabetes can be identified.
“If parents notice frequent urination in children during the night, thirst, or not adding weight to a glycemia measurement and understand whether there is diabetes”, he said.
But the most common is the type two affecting adults. Doctors say that attention can be prevented.
One of the concerns doctors raise is the lack of remuneration of glycemia fish for patients over 25.
