This woman discovered that she was suffering from breast cancer in the most unpredictable way

A thermal camera at a museum in Edinburgh, Scotland, saved a 41-year-old woman's life after discovering a tumor in her left breast, still undiagnosed.

In May of this year, Bal Gill visited Camera Obscura and World of Illustrations in Edinburgh and posted in the thermal camera room, which was completed in 2009 and allowed tourists to see the body's hot spots.

“I noticed a hot area on the left chest,” says Gill. We found it strange and after I saw the photos of others I noticed they all had. I took the picture, left and enjoyed the rest of the museum. ”

When she came home and saw the hot spot in the picture again, she decided to Google more. So he discovered that a hot area like the one noted below sometimes means the presence of a tumor that requires more blood than the area on the surface of the skin. She left a doctor's schedule and was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Gill says the picture saved his life. After the diagnosis, she wrote the museum and shared her story with others. I know this was the goal of the camera, but I saved my life,” She says.

From that moment on, Gill has underwent two operations and is awaiting the third to prevent tumoric mass growth.

Museum managers were shocked by 41-year-old history and said that “was affected when they read her letter. ”

However, it should be noted that thermal images are not a commonly used method to diagnose breast cancer and should not be replaced by regular mammmography.
