Leader of The PDK has said that America was always on our side, in difficult times of war and in historic moments of independence.
America was always here! Walking side by side with us. By helping us on our journey. And today, President Donald Trump is a true friend of Kosovo. The report between Kosovo and America is more than a link between two ordinary states. It's a ratio between two ideals and two outstanding values. America is a power based on freedom and democracy and we have common values with it. That's why America will support us and stay with us. And we must maintain this friendship and partnership! We should not do anything that would jeopardise the most important strategic alliance in Kosovo's history. So these are critical choices for the future of our country”, Vessel has said.
On 6 October, Wessel has said that citizens should choose between a government leading the PDK, which will strengthen partnership with America and the European Union, and together with them we will win the fight against corruption, we will develop the economy, we will keep young people here and offer hope and a future.
Or, for the other alternative, he has said it is a coalition of isolation, corruption and division.
There is a historical turning point ahead. To end dilemmas, divisions, and give way to hope, unity, the future. And October 6th is a chance you can't lose! With me, Prime Minister, Kosovo will not close the door to our Western friends. But it will work harder with them, for the sake of Kosovo, for the sake of partnership. America is our strongest ally. He's our greatest protector and supporter. America is holy to us! And Kosovo's future will be better and safer with strong support from the United States of America”, Wessel has said.
